Funded projects receive a subsidy of up to CHF 85,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sitech4impact.ch\/\"><u>&#8220;Switzerland Innovation Tech4Impact&#8221;<\/u><\/a> initiative is to promote the development of groundbreaking innovation projects that deal with the solution of urgent ecological, economic and social challenges.<\/p>\n<h4>What is it about?<\/h4>\n<p>As part of the initiative, six selected projects are awarded one-year project funding of up to CHF 85,000. Innovation projects are supported that focus on topics of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/\"><u>UN Agenda 2030 for sustainable development<\/u><\/a> and aim at one of the following SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SDG 3: Health and well-being<\/li>\n<li>SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy<\/li>\n<li>SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities<\/li>\n<li>SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production<\/li>\n<li>SDG 13: climate policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Who can apply?<\/h4>\n<p>The program is exclusively open to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research groups from Swiss universities<\/li>\n<li>Postdocs and doctoral students (no master&#8217;s or bachelor&#8217;s students)<\/li>\n<li>scientific staff from universities of applied sciences or research institutes<\/li>\n<li>Spin-offs and early-stage start-ups associated with a research group at a university, college or research institute<\/li>\n<li>SMEs with an innovation project carried out in collaboration with a research partner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>What are the project requirements?<\/h4>\n<p>To be eligible for a grant, the proposed project must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>deal with a technological innovation<\/li>\n<li>Address an urgent social, economic and\/or environmental issue in at least one of the six predefined Sustainable Development Goals<\/li>\n<li>Reach at least TRL 4 (experimental setup) and not exceed TRL 7 (prototype) for the <a href=\"https:\/\/sitech4impact.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/technology_readinesslevelstrl.pdf\"><u>Technology Readyness Levels<\/u><\/a> (TRL).<\/li>\n<li>prove a cooperation with one of the innovation parks of Switzerland Innovation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Until when are applications possible?<\/h4>\n<p>Applications can be submitted online until July 7, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>All information about the initiative: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sitech4impact.ch\/\"><u>www.sitech4impact.ch<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To the application form: <a href=\"https:\/\/app.sitech4impact.ch\/apply\"><u>https:\/\/app.sitech4impact.ch\/apply<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Who is behind the initiative?<\/h4>\n<p>The initiative is led by Switzerland Innovation and supported by innovation partners such as ABB, Credit Suisse, Die Mobiliar, Economiesuisse, Interpharma, Schindler, Swiss Re Foundation, Swisscom, UBS and Zurich.
